We Develop Innovative Mobility Projects and Solutions that
Promote Quality of Life
OUR PROJECTS

SUMP Secretariat
Our project—running the Technical Secretariat of the Coordination Platform for urban nodes—provides the single coordination spine that turns the revised TEN‑T obligations into a manageable, comparable and timely programme of work for the network of National SUMP Contact Points, supporting both the Commission and all Member States in implementation.

Social aspects
The study on social aspects within the maritime transport sector assessed how the social dimension of maritime transport has developed and progressed since the ad hoc Task Force on Maritime Employment and Competitiveness presented its final report in 2011, which included recommendations of both legislative and non-legislative nature.

Shift2Sustain
Shift2Sustain - Shift2Sustain – Driving Behavioural Change in Mobility Towards Sustainability aims to promote sustainable urban mobility by driving behavioural change through improved Mobility Management Plans (MMPs) and Measures (MMMs).

Nexus
In the evolution of urban transport, NEXUS - Next-gen technologies for enhanced metro operations seeks to establish an innovation benchmark, addressing crucial challenges and guiding European metros toward transformative futures. The collaborative effort unfolds through three interconnected workstreams, each contributing to overall progress.

MOVE_EU
The general objective of this assignment is to provide expertise in supporting the Commission in the areas of urban air mobility, sustainable urban mobility indicators, and multimodal hubs.

Mediate
European transport systems play a key role in the transportation of people and goods. Despite the progress made in recent years in improving accessibility for all, it is estimated that 10 to 20 percent of European citizens are still experiencing barriers and limited accessibility to public transport limiting people’s full participation in society.

Hyperloop

Carbon Leakage
Carbon leakage refers to the situation where, due to the additional costs imposed by climate policies, economic activity or traffic shifts from regions with stricter emission constraints (such as the EU) to regions with laxer rules, leading to an increase in greenhouse gas emissions outside the regulated area.

Atlantic Corridor
The European Commission has selected 11 consortia of transport consultants to support the European Coordinators in implementing the nine European Transport Corridors and two horizontal priorities: the European Maritime Space (EMS) and the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS). The contract for the Atlantic European Transport Corridor study has been awarded to a consortium led by TIS.PT, involving INECO, EGIS, M-FIVE, PANTEIA, ARUP and EITC.

Traffic Studies
Traffic Impact Studies, or simply “Traffic Studies”, are essential for evaluating the effects of new urban development on the transport and mobility system.

Business Mobility
The sustainable mobility of workers when commuting from home to work has a significant impact not only on economic development, but also on social and environmental well-being.

Ambassadors for Diversity
The transport sector is facing various challenges and changes, including digitalisation and technological advances, shifts in social patterns due to urbanisation, migration, and demographic ageing, as well as climate change and labour shortages.

School Mobility
Building a future where children travel sustainably.
The School Mobility project helps develop an intervention strategy based on understanding the needs of students (and their guardians) at each school in the municipality, promoting a modal shift to active modes and public transport.

HIREACH
If we want to improve the economy and society, we must not forget the most disadvantaged. HiReach develops mobility solutions that promote inclusion through social and technological innovation, involving start-ups and vulnerable local citizens.

COOPERATIVE STREETS
Digitising and decarbonising transport is an urgent necessity for the planet, and we are keen to contribute our expertise. This project, co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility, will make a significant difference in 15 Portuguese cities.
