TIS has been selected to carry out a study on the implementation of public transport in Bouaké, the country’s second largest city. This is the company’s first project in Côte d’Ivoire and involves a partnership with Swedfund International (a Swedish sustainable investment fund) and Artelia Côte d’Ivoire.
The study focuses on creating a structured and regulated mobility system that meets the needs of a population currently reliant on informal modes of transport, and lacking adequate infrastructure. The work also includes investment proposals for bus stops, depots and new buses, with the necessary works estimated to reach up to €200 million.
