The project operationalised through its Transport Infrastructure Resilience Indicator provides a rating methodology, which gives the likelihood of an infrastructure project in its current configuration to reach its stated outcomes
C-Roads Portugal is part of the C-Roads platform which is a platform of Member States working on the deployment of C-ITS services. Cross-border tests will also be conducted with other C-Roads Member States. The overall objective of the Action is to ensure the continuity of secured "Day-1” and “Day-1,5” C-ITS services over the Portuguese TEN-T network and on the urban nodes of Lisbon and Porto. C-Roads Portugal is co-funded by CEF - Connecting Europe Facility
The objective of the Cooperative Streets is to progress, in the framework of the C-Roads Platform, towards the digitalisation and decarbonisation of the transport sector. Focusing on the Portuguese Core network and in 15 Portuguese 13 cities, where Day 1 and Day 1.5 C-ITS services will be implemented in urban context. This project is co-funded by CEF - Connecting Europe Facility
TIS developed the study for updating the Cost-Benefit Analysis of the extensions of the Yellow and Circular lines of Metro do Porto, one of the fundamental pieces for MP to obtain European financing for this work. This review made it possible to consider the strong growth registered in 2017/18 in the demand for the MP and the other AMP operators, increasing the adherence of the results of the transport model.
ePIcenter is an EU-funded project that aims to create interoperable AI-based tools and technologies that allow all Stakeholders to cooperate with ports, logistics companies, research institutes and SMEs linked to the transport sector, in order to react in a timely manner. agile and efficient way to the political and market changes and the main climatic changes that affect the traditional maritime commercial routes.
Project for the road reorganization of Praça de Espanha, involving traffic engineering solutions, road design and parking management, as well as an increase in the pedestrian and cycling network, aiming at privileging the most sustainable travel - on foot, by bicycle and by public transport.
The project aim to develop mobility solutions to promote social inclusion in rural or sparsely populated areas, triggering social and technological innovations and assembling startups and vulnerable citizens, which will simultaneously become producers and co-users of new mobility solutions
Boosting the scientific debate about the value of travel
The MoTiV project addresses Value Travel Time (VTT) for the individual in a combination between personality, preferences, needs and expectations, in contrast with the traditional economical viewpoint (time and cost savings), that will allow to understand and conceptualize VTT by emphasizing its “behavioral” component.

Professor of Transport at the Instituto Superior Técnico until July 2012, where he headed the Unit of Research in Infrastructure, Systems and Transport Policies and was the National Director of Transportation Systems Area of MIT-Portugal program between 2007 and 2012.
Between August 2012 and August 2017 he was General Secretary of the ITF (International Transport Forum in the OECD), an intergovernmental organisation then with 59 member countries.
Graduated in Territorial Engineering and has a Master's degree in Transport.
She has developed Plans of Urban Mobility for large and medium-sized municipalities, as well as viability studies for new services of transport.
She has also experience in using Geographic Information Systems to analyse mobility problems.
Her areas of expertise include Urban Mobility, Public Transport Potential Demand and Mobility Surveys.
Graduate in Sociology in 1991 and with a Master's degree in Transport in 2008.
She has a vast experience in transport economics and policies, having developed a large number of research and consultancy studies.
Those studies cover a diversity of subjects along all transport modes, with a particular attention to those related with infrastructure financing, innovation, TEN-T and transport policies.
She is currently the representative of the company near the MaaS Alliance, an international network to promote Mobility as a Service.
PhD in Economic Valuation and Consumer Preferences. Professional experience related to the regulatory sector and as a University Professor in statistics.
Developed her work in the field of applied statistics and declared preference methods, having experience in developing and implementing questionnaires and discussion groups.
She has a particular focus on EU funded projects in the domains of road and urban digitalisation and automation.
Graduated in Civil Engineering by Instituto Superior Técnico, has concluded the scholar part of the Master in Transportation.
He has developed professional experience in municipalities where he had responsibilities in the planning and management of transport systems.
Area of Expertise: Planing and Management of Transport Systems, Parking Systems in Modal Choice
Graduated in Spatial Planning in 2000, attended Specialisation Courses, including in the Master's in Transports in 2007.
She has developed studies focusing on road traffic engineering, modelling, accessibility and traffic impacts, with a special approach to the urban level.
Degree in Architecture and Urbanism, since 2012 from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) and Master in Landscape Architecture, since 2020 from the University of Porto (UP).
Began his professional career in Brazil (SP), in the development of large-scale projects, with emphasis on subdivisions distributed throughout the country.
Focuses mainly on the analysis and planning of urban and landscape design in the city context, in order to strategically compose and structure quality elements for all.
Master in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa, with specialization in Roads and Transport.
At TIS, he has professionally participated in consulting activities with projects aimed at the Traffic Engineering area: traffic models (on a macro and micro scale), impact caused by traffic generating poles, study of solutions, accessibility, active mobility, among others. others.
Calls for the use of AI using drone image capture, to collect traffic data, and scenario analysis by applying agent-based microsimulation models.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, specialising in Urban Planning, Transport and Systems.
He has been involved in road rehabilitation projects in Portugal, as well as in medium and large-scale projects in the Middle East, covering highways, development planning, retail and industrial assets, as well as regional development studies, in the UAE, KSA and Qatar.
His activity has been focused on the domains of road network assessments, parking demand estimation, trip generation and traffic modelling.
Graduated in Geography and Regional Planning and a Master's degree in Transport.
Professionally he is experienced in the fields of demand modelling and traffic impacts, planning and design of urban public transport networks, interchanges design or social, environmental benefits of transport investments, marketing, campaigns solutions and benchmarking for urban transport and strategic projects, mobility studies and regional and urban planning.
Graduated in Spatial Planning and with a post-graduate degree in Mobility Management.
Having worked in Portugal, Spain and the UK, Luciana has international experience in transport studies for public and corporate clients: supply and demand studies for passengers and freight, sustainable mobility and traffic studies; and in transport modelling and geographic information systems.
She has also been responsible for the management of quality, environmental and health and safety systems.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialisation in Urbanism, Transport and Roadways.
Has been working professionally in the areas of planning, mobility and transport, with experience in Traffic and Transport Impact Studies, including traffic simulation, Mobility and Transport Plans as well as monitoring the operation of public transport systems.
He has a special interest in active mobility and in public spaces for livable cities.

She has developed work in the areas of urban and transports planning, mobility, and accessibility, with special emphasis on the municipal level.
She has experience in the application of GIS for the analysis of mobility problems.

He has been working in transport planning and modelling, having participated in different municipal mobility plans and other mobility projects in Belgium. From an organisational point of view, he has experience in dealing with the organisation of traffic counts and parking surveys.
Graduated in Sociology from ISCTE in 2006, with postgraduate degrees in Sociology and Planning and Strategic Human Resources Management.
He began his professional activity in ISCTE research centers and worked for the public transport operator of the city of Funchal between 2008 and 2018, participating in various European projects in the field of urban mobility, funded by the European Social Fund, ERDF (Intervir+ and Madeira 14-20), Interreg (MAC and Europe), Intelligent Energy Europe, FP7 and Horizon 2020.
He has been collaborating with TIS since 2018, where he has been developing innovation projects and European consulting, focusing mainly on the regulatory assessment of social aspects on accessibility and promotion of diversity in the transport system (from the point of view of users and workers), TEN-T policy, development models and adoption of innovative modes (e.g. vertical mobility, hyperloop, CCAM) and mobility solutions in rural contexts.
Graduated in Political Science and International Affairs and has a master’s degree in International Economics and European Studies.
She has previous experience in R&I internationalization support, specifically in the EU's funding programme for research and innovation, Horizon Europe.
At TIS, she has been working in consultancy projects for the European Commission.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, having specialised in the field of transport, logistics and systems.
His thesis was focused on airline disruption management, having used an airline as a case study and a software that uses a Multi-Agent System for disruption management.
At TIS, he has worked in consultancy projects for the European Commission involving all transport modes, with a particular attention to subjects related with the TEN-T, innovation, as well as transport policy and regulation.
Graduated in Management at the University of São Paulo in Brazil and currently studying for a Master's Degree in Development and International Cooperation at ISEG at the University of Lisbon.
He has a career specialized in corporate finance, having worked on merger and acquisition projects and in the structuring of infrastructure projects. He recently worked at the Brazilian Ministry of Economy with a focus on structuring Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects.
At TIS, he works as an economic consultant in the area of policies and regulation, developing projects with the European Commission.
Degree in Political Science and International Relations and Mastering in International Development and Public Policy.
Focusing on Policy and Regulation evaluation and impact assessment, has been developing consultancy work for the European Commission in the field of air services regulation and road automation.
Graduated in Civil Engineer, Post Graduated in Marketing Research and CRM, Master in Transportation. She joined TIS in 1999.
As transport planner, she has been developing her technical and professional skills through the development of regional, rural and urban transport planning projects, high-speed train exploration models, urban mobility projects, public transport network planning, environment impact assessment and airport business areas. As market researcher, she has participated in multiple marketing research projects by implementing and moderating qualitative and quantitative. She has also experience in mobility products development (Maas products, apps, transport services, etc…). Over the years, she participated in several international studies developed in Europe, Cabo Verde and Brazil.
Professional Areas: Transport Planning, Urban Mobility, Workplace travel plans, Market research, Mobility Surveys, New Mobility Products.
Received the Environmental Engineering degree in 2003, the Master's degree in Transports in 2006 and the PhD degree in Transportation Systems in 2011, all at the Instituto Superior Técnico.
Worked as a researcher for more than 15 years, at the Mechanical Engineering Institute of Instituto Superior Técnico, developing research projects in the area of sustainable mobility, alternative vehicles, energy and environmental impacts in the transport sector and in the area of urban accessibility and exposure to local pollutants.
Has been active in the area of urban mobility and accessibility planning, as well as in the monitoring and evaluation of mobility systems.
Master’s degree in Urban Engineering at the University of Minho (Portugal) and Graduated in Civil Engineering at the São Paulo State University - UNESP (Brazil). Previously, he had experience as a construction engineer at three Petrobras refineries and participated in the planning and control team for two large-scale railway works in Brazil.
At TIS, he has worked in Economic-Financial Demand and Feasibility Studies, Mobility and Transport Plans, and Market Studies. He has also participated in the development of new Mobility products/services.
He is interested in contributing through mobility and transport to build fairer, more inclusive, and more sustainable cities.
Having a bachelor’s degree in economics at ISEG, with experience abroad during the Erasmus semester in the Czech Republic and a master’s degree in Data Analytics for Business at ISEG.
Interested in challenges and aware of changes in the world, he is a consultant at TIS, inserted in the Business and Performance unit, with a main focus on areas of evaluation, combining skills in economics with data analysis, across the entire transport system. Create better solutions for society, with a view to a more sustainable future in socio-economic and environmental terms.
Graduated in Social Policy, complemented her studies in Human Resources in the area of psychological counselling and career development.
She has a vast experience in implementing administrative management systems, having performed roles in the Quality (ISO 9001- Process Management), marketing, Human Resources management and public relations areas.
She was Manager of Quality between 2012 and 2020, being also the Internal Auditor (ISO 19011) and was co-responsible for the implementation of the Quality Management System of the company.

Works at TIS with roles in the Computer Support Services and is responsible for the management, planning and implementation of improvements to the company's IT infrastructure.
PhD in International Affairs, with a Post-graduation in Marketing.
Professionally, he has developed work in marketing and communication in several companies and as had an experience in investment banking.
Having participated in Transport Planning projects, namely in Quality Management and Transport and Mobility Surveys.
He is currently the Head of Human Resources and Quality.
